Wood watches: Growing roots

Wood watches: Growing roots

“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.”  This is a prescription by Frank  Lloyd Wright that the Philadelphia-based AnalogWatch Co.  has placed  at the core of designing the  first ever  soft strapped, 100%  natural wood watches.

After months of prototyping, researching and sourcing materials, the watches have been masterly designed and handcrafted with flexible straps (makore, teak, silverheart) and hardwood bodies (red sanders, bamboo, maple). These singular timepieces are minimalist, unisex, lightweight, comfortable and 80% biodegradable. The company’s eco-consciousness is going even further in doing good and has partnered with Trees for the Future to plant a tree for every watch sold.
