Nespresso capsule: A precious, new life

To give a long life to a disposable item is magical. Nolia Shakti, a renowned artist, spends about an hour for each Nespresso capsule for it to have a second, bejeweled life. A graduate of Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy in Netherlands, she uses aluminium from up to 200 capsules, gold and gold plated silver to make her extraordinary art jewelry pieces that are sturdy but very light. “Each piece,” as she describes the process, “is made with love and tons of patience and creativity.”
