Squares in white and indigo blue. Tote in 100 % linen - in itajime shibori.
USD$68.00
Description
This listing is for a tote in the shibori itajime technique , made by me at my studio in Copenhagen.
The technique used for making this tote is the old japanese shibori itajime. Here I have folded the textile as a harmonica on both sides of the cloth. Then it has been clamped with wood, like a sanwich and dyed with indigo. After the dyeing process a beautiful pattern of triangles and squares appears in indigoblue together with white. A truly japanese tradition.
The design is similar on the other side of the tote, with some small changes.
The materials are 100 % linen.
Size:
38 x 41 cm
The strap is 2,5 cm wide x 68 cm long.
I recommend washing on 40 degrees with earth-friendly, neutral detergent.
