Paper Brushes: Shoe Shine Brush

This shoe shine brush is made from recycled newspaper found in New York City. Each page is laminated and pressed to form a solid piece of material which is then shaped and horse hair bristles are added. Paper Brushes explores the material properties of paper. Although paper is durable, in time it will wear away after use. I decided to to take advantage of this characteristic and apply it to an obsolete object such as brushes. In time the brush will wear to fit the users hand allowing for the once obsolete object to become more personal. Each brush is handmade and made to order. Please allow 3 weeks for shipping.
