The Other Half S Glass Bowl

The other half is a collection of glass bowls in combination with concrete. The glass bowls are obtained by cutting the wine container (damigiana) in order to make Sequence lamps. They come in different hight and shapes, each the result of cutting the damigianas in different levels. They are covered with a layer of concrete without using glue or any of its derivatives. It attaches to the glass once completely dry. We aimed to demonstrate the variety of a concrete surface by leaving them rough. we have designed a brass handle which is also attached and fixed only by the concrete layer. The handles have a playful form in order to break the rough feeling of the material.
