"Not So Wild Fire," graphite drawing, oil pastels, inkjet, 10x10 inches

Fire. This piece was made before the current state of the west United States with it's ravaging fires. A low burning brush fire creeps across to a phone pole getting closer to a dead tree with a ladder sitting against it. Is the ladder there as a saving grace if one is caught in this event, or simply left there to burn as well. The background is treed with a night sky being lit by, what seems to be another fire out of the picture. It is framed in a dark, textured wood frame measuring 11 x 11 inches.
