I am a jewellery designer with a hands-on and experimental approach to my work, thinking through making informs the design process. I draw on my previous career in textiles to inspire my practice- handcraft and material culture play an important role within my work. It’s quite an intuitive process, often seeking for something unusual- be it a unique texture, a problem to solve or to find a beautiful juxtaposition.
The pieces are handcrafted from recycled silver and gold and have been textured using a variety of hand manipulated methods- including wax work, reticulation and electroforming. They are then hand brushed for a light, matt finish. These techniques create unpredictable texture, making each object unique to the wearer.
All pieces are responsibly handcrafted in North London and designed for durability and to elevate an everyday look.
