UNEVEN - EVEN, room divider / wallhanging in paper yarn. HANDWOVEN.

This listing is for one handwoven room divider / wallhanging made by me at my studio in Copenhagen. It's woven in a beautiful combination of different paper yarn from Japan. A flat crisp and a more twisted round yarn. The roomdivider / wallhanging is woven in black and white, to give a contast. The weaving is a mygtjell which gives the textile an open structure. I have woven the room divider / wallhanging in my studio in Copenhagen on an old Danish Lervad loom. When weaving the most common way is to have the threads going horizontal and vertical in the loom. This is often said to be the right way of creating a fabric. I have in this textile woven uneven on purpose which gives the big fans in the vertical direction. I think this gives the textile a new twist in the weaving. In the ends I have attached an Ikea KVARTAL. This makes it easy to hang up in the room, either in the ceiling or directly on the wall. Size: 60 x 300 cm, black and white. 60 x 250 cm, white. If you want the textile to be shorter in the length, I can easily do. Please contact me. I recommend drycleaning.
