Description

This listing is for one handwoven room divider / wallhanging made by me at my studio in Copenhagen. The technique used for making this room divider / wallhanging is the beautiful plain weave. The ramie and silk thread have been dyed with persimmon juice from the kaki fruit, also known as kakishibu. It is a dyeing process which can take up to two years, as the color deepen in the sun over time. You will see there is a beautiful combination of earthly shades, all natural colors without the use of chemicals. In the ends I have attached a flat stainless steel, in between is the textile, like a sandwich. This makes it easy to hang up in the room, either in the ceiling or directly on the wall. There are two room dividers / wallhangings, please select from the first photo, either front or back. Size: 60 x 250 cm. I recommend drycleaning. If you are interested in purchaising this item, I'm able to send you a little swatch so you can see the details and feel the materials. Please contact me. THIS ITEM WILL SHIP OUT IMMEDIATELY AND IT WILL BE SENT WITH TRACKING AND INSURANCE. IT WILL BE WRAPPED AND SEND IN A LITTLE CONTAINER TO PROTECT THE TEXTILE. FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS - I CAN SEND THE ITEM WITHOUT A TRACKING SERVICE AND THE COST WILL BE LESS, BUT THE ITEM IS NOT INSURED.
