The 1.03 series of necklaces are composed of type 308 stainless steel, and silver solder. The mechanical properties of stainless steel allow this design to be thin and elegant while remaining extremely sturdy. The stamp that reads "ER 308 L" is a stamp from the manufacturer of the stainless steel rod and is intentionally included in the work as evidence of its origin. The nature of the fabrication process yields pieces of which no two are alike. The default size is meant to fit necks with a circumference of 13 inches to 15.5 inches (you can measure by wrapping a string around your neck).
